I'm tired out with cleaning up and pickng up groceries for a new year.
I cooked only baked beef with red wine.
Foods on 1st. day will be...all ready-cooked I bought at the mall.
My three sons try to stay up late till they hear the temple bells ring telling a new year.
But air horns from anchored ships at Yokohama Port are much louder than the bells here in Yokosuka.
There is not so many temples but shrines close to our house.
To tell the truth, I still don't know exact time when the temple bells start.
It is the first year for us to spend days to a new year all gathered at home.
Sons usually go to our parents' place right after the school is over.
Not this time, because my mother and father of my husband, each has a trouble. My mother had cerebral
infarction and been in hospital for 16days during her stay at our house to see some presentation
by children at school.
And my father-in law has cancer in both lugs and kidney and said he survive no more than one year.
He's facing to the end of his life now...
Thinking about our age, parents become to have something trouble in their health according to
the aging though, it is still hard for us to recieve the fact.
I and my husband said to each other that it was good for all to have childrens erlier than
the age 30's, so our parents have chance to see their ground-children.
We could share much time to spend all together.
Only things, for us, that we can to please or ease our parents is having good family
with kids if it is possible...
to let them know that their kids (us) are going to live alright after they goback to heaven.
That is what I thought at the end of this year...
